

Dr Nicky Evans

I am a Clinical Psychologist and a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist registered with both the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
I have been working in clinical mental health roles for over 17 years and have been providing Psychological Talking Therapies for the past 4 years via local NHS trusts, Charities and in private practice. In my most recent role within the NHS I was working with adults and children that have Learning Disabilities that also had additional difficulties with their mental health and/or neurodiversity. My private practice has also included working with children and young adults experiencing psychological distress, related to: anxiety, managing emotions, neurodiversity, and exam-stress.

I have extensive clinical experience utilising Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; in addition to Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Systemic Therapy and have received additional training in Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT).
